You already know how wonderful I think you are… so… here you go again!! Thank you for sharing!!
Now, here’s a question for you, which I am sure you have been asked many, many times. I have been told by yoga teachers that the spiritual path is a lonely one. Also by meditators (have you ever been to a Vipassana retreat?) that this path becomes very silent. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not there yet, but how do you manage this duality or difference? This need to sit and be still in meditation vs. the need to reach others? How do you cope Sadie? I teach 2-5 classes a week and waitress 2-4 days a week right now and I can hardly make the time for one hour of personal practice… how do YOU do it? And do you find that it drains YOUR practice? When I’m super busy and feel that I am doing EXACTLY what I need to be doing I find it HARD to get to my meditation–my mind takes over, “you’re in a good place… keep going”. How do you get past these blocks? Or am I the only one who still does this dance with my mind?
Ok. Well, I guess that there is more than one question there. I am not questioning YOU, I am just curious how you manage. Is it your strong determination or is it a struggle for you too? Do you just Lakshmi kick it all away?
Thank you for all of your teaching. I am inspired DAILY.

If you are interested in Healthy Living, you should be interested in Ayurveda. It’s not anything weird – it means “longevity”. There’s a pretty good book on choosing foods that are best for your unique physical makeup. It’s called “Foods Heal“.
