Yoga for Kids: It's Like Eating Your Greens, But Fun
Who cares!? As long as it's helping them manage their stress and feel better, they're getting the benefit of the practice.
"I think the younger kids may not know exactly what they get out of it. It's kind of like when you put zucchini in their muffins and don't tell them," yoga instructor Cheryl Crawford told CNN. "They don't really know. They just know they they feel good." (See video below.)
Do you have kids who practice yoga? Have you noticed any benefits?

Great idea. So many children don't get any exercise at all anymore. Yoga is a good and easy place to start

Makes perfect sense.
Kids have an instinctive understanding of Yoga because they're still operating more on the right side of their brains, which is what Yoga is trying to get adults to do.

I have taken 24 hours of Grounded training and my kids are so excited to get "grounded". I teach over 50 children in the Memphis area! The parents share stories about how their child brings yoga into the home. Kids get yoga!

Great entry! On Dec. 14, Living Beyond Breast Cancer will be holding a free yoga program at the Philadelphia Marriott West from 6-8pm. The program will focus on the emotional benefits of yoga, esp. for women going through breast cancer treatment. Is this something you could advertise in a future entry? Kids and teens love yoga. We can all benefit from the stress reduction which comes as a result of yoga practice. Kids also can develop greater confidence as they try and succeed at something new, challenging and adult. Often kids make the greatest yogis as they are open and willing to try without holding back. We, adults, could learn a thing or two from them.
