Eat, Drink, and Be Present
Yoga is about more than connecting body, mind, and spirit. It's also about connecting with other people. However, a quiet, yoga class environment doesn't always lend itself to making new friends. To make it easier to meet new people in the yoga community, Yoga Mixers Incorporated will host events in several cities across the country. The next event is on April 5, but Yogi Mixers have been on-going since September of 2008, and will continue to give yoga students the opportunity to "eat, drink, and be present" together the first Sunday of every month.
Visit yogimixers.com to see if your city has an event—or get in touch with organizers to plan an event in your city.

Have any of you attended an event like this? What did you think?

Hi
I went to the very fist yogi mixer and the next one is on Sunday, April 5th at Cafe Gratitude in the Inner Sunset.
It was very interesting and I met a lot of really nice yogi's from around town.
I was very impressed with everyone I met and enjoyed it a lot.

What a neat concept! I think that is a great way to get to know more of the yoga community in your area. It's great to get to talk to fellow yogis outside of the class setting too. Very neat! Thank you for sharing.

I've been to 2 Yogi Mixers and they get better every time. The last one was a blast. They had great giveaways, it was held in a beautiful space, and I ended up meeting amazing people and bumping into old friends.
