Yoga is My Bailout

yoga_is_my_bailout_tee_front.jpg
We hear about it everyday. The economy is bad, and it will get worse if our government doesn't step in and do something about it. Businesses, local governments, and individuals are looking for help in the form of bailouts. Yoga blogger, YogaDork, recently pointed out that not all bailouts come in the form of external intervention—sometimes they come from within.

"Sure, the world economy may be in shambolic disarray, but personally we've been in trouble before and yoga has always provided us with the tools to work through it, on the mat, or in the world.," writes the self-proclaimed YogaDork. There is even a T-shirt with the slogan "Yoga Is My Bailout" on it, which you can purchase at Yogadork.com for $24.

How do you feel about the yoga bailout concept? And would you ever buy that T-shirt?

Comments

I'd buy the shirt straight away...if my monthly budget could afford it. I love the thought behind it and wish my boyfriend got the pun. :S

Why don't you try making your own "Yoga is my Bailout" creation by using a T-shirt that's already in your closet? You could design something on your computer and then print it onto a nifty iron-on transfer. Or if you want to get tricky , embroider or stencil. Hey, maybe I found my next craft project.
Namaste!

so glad to get feedback on the tee! and that people are really relating to it.
regarding the price, wish we could give it away for free honestly. since we went for the organic bamboo it's a bit on the pricey side to produce. but we're working on trying to make a more affordable option!

So-when i was dirested to your shirt, it was a link implying a deeper, wordlier intention behind simplicity and using less. Selling a $24 tee shirt (bamboo even!) is what yuks me out about this world. Lets buy less people and use our money for the important things in life...

I can't find the word bailout in any dictionary - sorry, I'm Dutch and usually fluent in english but this one is beyond me

Love it! Wonderful idea!

I can't believe the yogajournal email newsletter put in a sneaky link for an overpriced shirt instead of some kind of meaningful article. The way it came across in the newsletter I was not expecting an obvious ad for an overpriced tshirt. Bamboo may be "sustainable" but making fabric out of it has a significant environmental impact. Plus, the actual text on the shirt is not very clever, just obviously capitalizing on a buzzword.

As a yoga practitioner and an advertising copywriter, I believe the t-shirt copy is ingenious. I wish I had thought of it first! Besides being very creative, it's factual. Yoga has totally been my bailout -
