Recycle Your Sweater
Spring is a few short weeks away, which means now is a perfect time to get a head start on your Spring cleaning. I suggest you start with your closet. Instructables.com demonstrates one way to breathe life into an old sweater by turning it into a bag for your yoga mat.

I turned some old velvet and satin long skirts and a chenille sweater into decorative pillows, Old cafe curtains can be sewn together to make pillow cases, place mats or a table runner.

After purging my closets, I used old sweaters and sweatshirts to make purses and tote bags. They are like a soft, squishy, little blanket on your lap when Iyou get in the freezing cold car. I used old men's buttondowns to recover a throw pillow. My daughter hugs the pillow and says it makes her think of daddy. aawwww.
