Do you wear white?
According to the web site, www.yogayoga.com, it is beneficial to wear white while practicing yoga. "For the practice of Kundalini Yoga, it is helpful to wear white, natural fiber clothing. The color white is good for the body energetically and for the nervous system." Do you wear white? If so, why?

Sat Nam,
Yes I wear white. While I've done Kundalini Yoga for many years, the white does feel good! I tried it a few times and just started gravitating to it naturally, until most of my yoga clothes were white.
But the best is wearing cotton or natural fibers. Even expensive yoga pants are hot compared to my cotton ones.
Sometimes when I teach I'll wear a bright orange shirt and students always comment that they feel different - especially in my kids yoga classes. Kids are so observant and outspoken about it too!
With the tweens and teens I teach, we try a little colour therapy based on the colours of the chakras. They try wearing different colours over the week and see if they notice an effect.
It is fun to bring awareness to this part of your wardrobe.
Thanks,
Aruna

On occasion I wear white while practicing yoga. It is mainly a coincidence that I happen to have judo and jiu-jitsu gi pants that are white. I haven't noticed an energetic pattern associated with color as mentioned in chakra theory. That is apparently missing in the similar but different Taoist yoga and qigong theory, but I don't miss it.

I wear whatever clothes happen to be clean. I might try experimenting with white clothes during my home practice, but I think people would start to look at me funny if I all of a sudden started wearing exclusively white to class.
