Do you love the Ramones?
If so, you might enjoy Punk Rock Yoga, being offered in Boston, New York, Seattle and Toronto. "I love the different kind of music, and it really gets people who wouldn't go into a yoga study into a class because it's in a different environment," instructor Erin Bell told CanWest News Service . "Yoga is really about exploring things for yourself and so I find it goes along with that philosophy." Perhaps now New York's CBGBs can reopen and offer yoga classes. WIth recorded punk music (and sometimes live bands according to their website) blasting on the sound system, I'm thinking this won't count as a pratyahara practice, right? ;^)

Oh man, Yoga has sunk to a new low. Sad.

Gee Whiz Haroun....good thing the punk rock yogis/yoginnis practice more open-minded yoga. Since when did yoga HAVE TO BE practiced with gentle waterfall music in the background only. I myself really enjoy practicing (and sometimes teaching yoga with Latin or Asian inspired dance music. My students really love it.
Remember, there are as many styles of yoga as there are yogis/yoginnis!!
Namaste!
